Growing up, Don was a very curious child, while all the other children were playing outside Don prefered to perform science experiments and had a passionate interest in communications especially radio and public speaking.

After a very promising early career, Don sucumbed to ill health and in the early nineties he was confined to bed for six years with chronic fatigue syndrome. Medical bills mounted and the illness caused Don to feel suicidal. In 1996 a message was delivered to Don through a medium and this marked the beginning of his recovery. During the final years of his recovery, Don realised he had the gift of healing. The first of his cures were carried out while in Escana in Ibiza in 1998.
